Shipping FAQ
Everything you need to know about how we ship our plants safely to your door.
π± How Are My Pinguicula Shipped?
Each Ping & Bloom plant is carefully packed by hand with health and safe transit in mind.
- Plants are shipped bare root (no pot or soil unless a pot add-on is purchased)
- Gently wrapped in slightly moist paper towel
- Secured inside a protective plastic condiment cup or container sized to the plant
- Includes its individual plant tag
- Cushioned inside a sturdy shipping box to prevent movement
Shipping bare root reduces the risk of root rot, soil spill, and shipping damage β and ensures your Ping arrives clean and ready to pot.
π What Carrier Do You Use?
Ping & Bloom ships via USPS Priority Mail within the United States only.
- Typical transit time: 2β3 business days
- A USPS tracking number is provided once your order ships
- We currently ship U.S. addresses only
Please ensure your shipping address is correct before checkout.
π What Days Do You Ship?
To prevent plants from sitting in warehouses over the weekend:
- Orders ship Monday and Tuesday only
- Orders placed after Tuesday ship the following Monday
This schedule reduces plant stress and transit risk.
π₯ Do You Offer Heat Packs?
Yes. A 72-hour heat pack add-on is available for purchase during colder months.
- Recommended when daytime temperatures are below 45Β°F
- Heat pack must be added to your cart at checkout
- One heat pack is typically sufficient for small-to-medium orders
Important: Ping & Bloom is not responsible for cold damage if a heat pack is declined during freezing conditions. If youβre unsure whether to add one, feel free to contact us before ordering.
π€ Weather Disclaimer
Live plants are sensitive to extreme temperatures.
- Monitor your local weather before ordering
- Consider adding a heat pack in cold conditions
- Ensure someone is available to receive the package promptly
Ping & Bloom cannot control postal delays or exposure after delivery.
π¦ What Should I Expect When My Plant Arrives?
Because these are live plants:
- Minor cosmetic blemishes may occur during transit
- Leaves may appear soft from wrapping β this is normal
- Allow 1β3 days for your plant to adjust after potting
We recommend potting promptly in a proper carnivorous plant mix using distilled, rainwater, or reverse osmosis water.
π Dead on Arrival (DOA) Policy
We stand behind the health of our plants.
If your plant arrives dead:
- Contact us within 24 hours of delivery
- Submit clear photos of: the plant, the packaging, and the shipping label
- Use the Contact Form on our website to submit your claim
Failure to report within 24 hours may void replacement eligibility. Each case is reviewed individually. Replacement or store credit may be offered at Ping & Bloomβs discretion.
β Why Are Plants Shipped Bare Root?

- Prevents soggy soil issues
- Reduces fungal risk
- Lowers shipping weight
- Minimizes transplant shock
